Toruń’s Atrium Copernicus is a commercial and retail structure situated in the heart of the city. The extension project of the centre erected in 2005 aimed at increasing the usable area of the building, thus making it the largest shopping centre in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The existing part was joined via a new link building: a characteristic rotunda based on a steel structure with a diameter of 27.8 m, serving as the new central entrance to the entire facility. Thanks to the additional 17,000 sq m extension, the leasable area of the facility increased to approx. 48,000 sq m, offering more than 60 new boutiques, shops, outlets, restaurants and cafés.
